Stylistically, corruptedHorizon picks up where my 2009 studio album [ — ] left off. Inspired by my live performances over the last decade, corruptedHorizon melds bits of IDM, ambient, pure electronic, glitch, shoegaze and subtle tribal leanings to spin a complex but enjoyable listening experience that I’ve been told defies easy classification.

the vigil event: Mandala of the Four Directions


This past Saturday, DJ Dubble8 [Erik Spangler] and I went into the studio for the first time to “practice” our live set for the upcoming “Vigil” all night music festival on April 1, 2010. Erik and I come from very different backgrounds in our approach to music and sound so we were both excited while a bit curious how our styles would mesh. Coming to the rehearsal with some gear but no plans or sound map we simply plugged in and began to play. The result were three amazing 20 minute sessions, two of which were unfortunately not recorded. I was so pleased with how this final session turned out I decided to post it and make it available below. If you’re into the spaced out, fractal groove dronescape, this will probably something you’ll like.  Erik and I plan to do some “official” recording over the summer.

*Please keep in mind this was recorded to a solid state Marantz field recorder directly from the board so the fidelity should not be compared to conventional studio recordings.

new demo

The summer months have proven to be very fruitful in the studio. In addition to the recent visual works and performances, I’ve started working on the follow up to my most recent album [ — ].  At the moment, i’ve recorded around 65 minutes of new material and plan to continue recording into the fall. Sonically, these sessions seem to be picking up where [ — ] left off . If all goes well, look for a new album sometime during winter 2010. In the meantime, I’ve decided to let a demo of a new track out of the bag. More soon.

i’m very pleased to announce the release of the follow up to last years double album ENDING [light]. the fall and winter months proved to be rather fruitful in the studio, culminating in the release of [ — ].

[ — ] had a pre-release at the GATHERINGS concert i played with SAUL STOKES on saturday april 18, 2009 in Philadelphia, PA. i took around 50 of the 100 copies and they quickly sold out.

the limited edition version is signed and numbered with the disc housed between two 1/4″ pieces of perspex. once the limited run has expired, [ — ] will be sold as an unlimited standard jewel boxed edition.

if you would like a copy of the limited edition, head over to the store section of this site and click on the LIMITED EDITIONS tab. you will find [ — ] at the bottom of the page. as with most SLO.BOR MEDIA limited editions, this first run will no doubt sell out quickly.
